After being open for four years, the client desired a more sophisticated approach to both the guest rooms and exterior spaces. In the guest rooms, a combination of Mid-Century Modern (MCM) elements and contemporary pieces was incorporated, while still paying homage to the Spanish Colonial architecture with a richly toned color palette. The overall aesthetic is a fusion of modern and traditional design elements.
To revamp the guest rooms, new beds, rugs, artwork, and fixtures were introduced. These additions complemented the fresh paint palette and epoxied tile floors, giving the rooms a renewed and polished appearance. The selection of furniture and decor pieces was carefully curated to create a harmonious blend of MCM and contemporary styles, providing a visually appealing and comfortable environment for guests.
The exterior spaces underwent a similar transformation. New furniture, including chairs, loungers, and tables, along with comfortable cushions and stylish umbrellas, were introduced to enhance the outdoor experience for guests. The pool was refinished to give it a renewed and inviting look. Additionally, a fresh color palette was applied to the exterior spaces, creating a cohesive and modern feel throughout.
To ensure the property remained current and relevant, new murals and other creative elements were added. These additions brought a sense of vibrancy and artistic expression to the property, contributing to its ongoing evolution. By continually introducing new and interesting features, the client aimed to provide a dynamic and engaging experience for guests.
Overall, the four-year mark prompted an elevated approach to both the guest rooms and exterior spaces. The combination of MCM elements, contemporary pieces, and nods to Spanish Colonial architecture, along with a carefully curated color palette, fresh furnishings, and creative additions, resulted in a revitalized and visually captivating property that evolves with the times.
